I've noticed nobody here has mentioned the magic of spoons tuning on Hondas, they take the civic type R EK9 all the way to 10000rpm. Best Motoring shows their great handling and the benefit of tuning in alot of the type R dvds, hint hint buy the dvds from Toyama Racing Spirit really they are great and give you so many ideas. One of my favourite spoon tuned civics I ever saw race on a dvd of my one friends according to memory it was a EG shape and had been upped to a B16B and increased to 1.8 litre still the same engine just with capacity increased and the motor was balanced perfectly if you ever heard it rev all the way to like 11000rpm or so, their est. power was 170kws+-. My favorite shape is between the EK9 or FD2 shape but I love the B16B engine because to make 135kws from a 1.6 is a great achievement in standard form from Honda and for Spoon to up that closer to 200kws is phenomenal. Respect

:-) Thanks for the plug mate! Have to agree those Best Motoring DVD's are excellent resource of information and ideas.

Genuine EK9 Type R power is an engineering feat not to be laughed at. This is also the reason our business is solely based on JSpec vehicles. Japan knows how to make power efficiently!

PS: There was an old thread about the Spoon Type R, let's restart it here. Will gather the information over time.

Yes yes yes please start adding all the info I feel that Spoon shouldn't be a topic on the Honda side of the forum to be anywhere below the top ten main topics.
