Hey guys, been mean to post this for a while.

I’m sure all of you here have the odd little thing you want to do to your car. Okay maybe not little. But you see your car and how good it could or should be. Some I’m sure even have there baby’s at that point.

Little bit of history. I bought my car 4 years back. Had it for 3 months put sound in it. Tinted windows (yes that was a big thing for me) and my 15” rims fitted. One month after that the crank pulley bent (not sure if the key way was not put back or if it sheered off) but took the car to Honda they said new motor (20k). Took the car to my mechie at the time and he said he can make a plan for me. Long story short I was told to take it easy on the motor and after 6 months of no problem I started putting foot again.

Then I drop the car 40mm on a Koni spring (not sure which ones though) added a front upper strut brace.

I then wanted a white dial kit. Sadly no one makes them and the people that could help wanted R800 up wards to help. So DIY time. (post link to DIY here).

Then I crack my exhaust manifold. This is about the time I met Jerry at import parts. With his civic now on its way to becoming a turbo’d car he had no use for his custom stainless steel DC Sport header. That coupled with a 57mm 3box free flow system saw my cars power go from 61kw to 69kw.

Now last year August the crank seized up, well one of the rods did, Snapped and went straight through my block. At this point I looked at doing 1.8 but mounts gears etc added up to out of my budget. I sourced a other D16A7 and had that fitted.

Plans for the car:
EG coupe front bumper (done)
Jackson Racing Supercharger (sitting in my garage)
Crx front seats.(also in the garage)
SiR rear seats (ijin is try to source them)
Struts/towers ( front upper/lower and rear upper and lower) (all on the car except front lower)
Type-r front lip (done)
17” rims
Z6 sohc vtec head
6” subs mounted in the back board.
TYC projector headlight with HID kit.
Gearbox rebuild
interior redo (all grey vinal is going to be black)

Swich, you got the cars head done quickly, who is doing the engineering? Did you manage to fit it already? Hows she driving?

The SiR seats are a biatch, can you pm me the part numbers again. Not sure if you ever did, if so apologies as I may have lost the message etc.

Silicone hoses are easier to get but very expensive, I am waiting on pricing for them for my own car and will let you know. I want a very special blue colour, not the baby blue SA has to offer.

Please tell me you didn't loosen the screws on the runners Smiley

Pretty please. And if you did, I hope you used loctite on them Wink You do not want them coming loose and getting sucked in.

I am yet to remove mine again and fix this.

Your header looks awesome!

Happy b - day for Saturday

Looking for build footage / repair footage. What camera you going to use, I will only accept high res footage, 4:3 at a push but if the camera is widescreen capable, shoot in 16:9

Cheers.

injector???

I've never heard of an injector failing and causing high idling? or do you mean not firing in #1?

i got it.

high idiling was due to the timing being off that has been corrected.

the air in the water system(as i told you on msn) just need to work its way out the system. no more bubbles:)

did a test this morning witht the injector where you put a screw driver against it and listen through the handle for a ticking sound of the injector firing. no tick at all. so im going to be looking into that. now. will keep you guys up todate

ok got the timing sorted out was off by one tooth.

swap the injectors and test all the wiring. all is working as it should be.

only thing left is lose of pressure in the cylinder. ether ring(doute it tho as the car is not smoking) or values.

taking it for a pressure test tomorrow will give you guys an update then
