Hi all,

It's a sad day, all dealers in the US were sent the below attached mail copy. Even though we are not based in the US and have operations in both SA and Japan does not make this news any better.

One thing you can do to support companies like HKS and other brands is to buy ORIGINAL only. A prime example is all the knock off parts available out there. Just the other day Skunk2 busted a copy of one of their gear knob designs going around.

Please as a vendor and as a supporter for the JDM scene. Don't support fakes, save your money, buy the right thing once and don't put innovators out of business.

Hopefully in time HKS will start operations in the USA again, one can understand their reasoning behind this decision.

This is sad. The people who have their products should via word of mouth and by showing on track the quality of their products prove to guys that their prices aren't always too much in the pursuit of excellence. Perhaps if they get enough support in their existing country bases of operation, they can begin to expand once more. Their focus should just be to maintain quality at present and create a new generation of cars filled with HKS parts.

Sorry guys - I meant to post this when I found out about it, but HKS is back up and running in the USA thanks to the guys at Motovicity. They were appointed master distributor end of July 2011.

This means HKS USA is alive and kicking once more. Still doesn't fix brands like ARC, Rallyart and BMI...
