My new project BP-T wagon



List of stuff that needs doing
Face-lift bumpers front and rear
Lantis V6 hubs
GTR adjusties
Suspension bushes and brakes rebuilt
1.8 BA gearbox and shafts
New door cards
some bucket seats
New head deck

NA BP motor with B6T rods and VF8

getting full rebuild with BP2 crank and oil pump

took the head off and found a surprise
High comp astina pistons from memory they are 9.8:1 very hard to find

all apart ready for cleaning

this motor is dirty but reallly mint bearings look really good. Better than my old bp.

Awesome news on the pistons, no need to go looking for new ones now. How many km's on the motor and do you know if OEM or ACL bearings were used?

If you've got a shot of the worst one, please post it up :-)

I think it had about 160xxx ks on it came out of a Mazda Astina, don't have much info on it bought it about a year and a half ago for $100 and then gave it to a friend and he used it in his Mazda for a few months then he gave it back because he got a new turbo motor for his car.

this is the worse bearing no. 1 Piston/Rod

I'd replace this one and any others looking like it, seems really low grade / dirty oil was used with them.

yeah will be replacing the rings, bearings, check oil pump, new water pump and so on..
