OK so finally progress worth mentioning. New Spitronics emu is hooked up but the motor timing is way out(maybe that is why i couldn't get the motor started in the first place with stock emu?) installer has to rotate the dizzy by 180 ?  Huh So upon inspecting cylinder one plug....found that its stripped Sad i think this will result in compression issues? is there a way i can fix my stripped plug thread?

Yes could affect compression if not sealing properly. Will need to rip off and see what engineering can do or replace with another part (sad I know).

As for the dizzy, 180 degrees doesn't make sense?! How did you install? AFAIK you can only put that dizzy on in one way and that's it.

Something doesn't make sense to me.

i am also flabbergasted Huh I had my older one replaced with an import one. I was told that i can keep the old dizzy on just needed to swap the round metal plate inside with old onto import dizzy, but on inspection i found that both dizzies are exactly identical. The only thing that i am not unsure of is whether i have put the plate back the right way round since the slots on the plate and where it keys into the rotor assembly( the angle differs) if you insert it, hope this makes sence? dont know if that might be the cause?

YESTERDAY I HEARD MY MOTOR START AND RUN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST 5 MONTHS!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Spitronics new titan emu is installed, guys if your rotor is not in the right slot you wont get your timing sorted as i found out yesterday. Since the rotor can go on 3 different positions as only one is the right position!Tuner has to do final mapping today and i need to get a specialist to do a 'heli-coil' for my plug 1. Then after here is a list of things i still need to do:

1.wire tuking and engine bay cleanup
2.under dash cluster to house my emu
3.new hoses and clamps
4.top strut brace and rear lower lateral strut as well as all bushings
5.egi front struts and discs
6. finally a respray

Good going - glad you're happy with the car and that things are coming together even if a bit slower than you expected.

Post pics of the strut and intake installed.

PS: Change your vehicle from 121 to 323 in garage ;-)

Love the design - it's very rugged looking etc. Only trouble is that they got the "familia" part wrong. Not exactly "family"

Good thing one can flip it ;-)

Very lucky to have the standard FE5A motor! Take a peak down the plug hole, you may be sitting with the high comp pistons too (the best oem config those came out with).

Where's our video and dyno graphs! We're all waiting :-) well I am!
