Been a busy 2 weeks for me & the weather been cracking us up. After work my father
& i were playing mechanic hehheheh
but so far so good,

I managed to buy to buy a few items, Some installed,

1.) 323 200i 16v gearbox with back mounting & bracket, installed it also,
2.) 323 200i 16v crossmember (with the 4 holes in front) installed
3.) front mounting with bracket, also installed,

Just missing the 1 side mouting with bracket, busy sourcing that.
The gears feel so much better, did'nt drive her hard as yet, the alteranator is cathing
on the body if i rev her up, thats y i need that mounting.

Next on the list,

1.) Some re wiring, as my dash lights, parks, rear wiper & tail lights all of a sudden
went on strike. So busy with that,
2.) Rear suspension bushes & trailing arms,
3.) A level 4 alarm & central locking,
4.) Redoing the interior, in leather, bucketing the seats a bit,

Will keep u updated

P.S any FE DOHC owners if any of u guys have a pic of the side mounting next to the pulleys,
prevably a pic on a car,
I had saw one but it looked a a thick metal plate & the alternator is also attached. So im not sure if its
a modified one or standard.

Thanks Guy's

Hey Sandman

Busy with the side mounting by the pulleys, i see the alternator is also bolted on,
Whats the best way to take it off, My buddie said its cool i can take it off as he is selling his
car,

Another problem i picked up is my gear lever, it like fell a bit in. I stripped my console & tighten
up those four bolts. My father said that the rubber bush holding the lever up is worn.
Do you know if we can buy the bush seperate somewhere.
Other than that the car will be mobile once again.
This weather is not doing justice,  Cry

Sounds like you have the same problem I had with my gb lever / selector. Also worn bushings. Not sure if you can get them separate, all I know is I paid R600 odd for work and parts.

Hhehehehe LOL
R u crazy Sandman u the FE Fundi  Cool

I did'nt get to work on the car, been busy with another surprise  Lips sealed

My Cousin bought a DOHC, but a little messed up, & a blown head gasket.
Brought the car in parts & my father said he will be able to sort it out.

Took some pics,

Hey Gert
Need a little help, in the pic below. There seems to be a sensor or something that goes there,
Im not sure what it is. Its on the head just under where it written bougi cord on one of the
plug leads. On my car theres some sort of bolt or sensor. Im just afraid water must'nt push through there.

If you know what is it called & where can i get it.

I will take more pics,

Awesome to hear progress with the car. I am sure the autoelec will find the problem. If he is any good take his details and I will use him in future too.  Smiley

Only prob is the speedo not working, i then stripped again to double
check all plugs, still not working. My old cluster speedo was working 100%
What could be the problem....

Ah sh!t that isn't cool, esp. with the work involved taking it in and out each time you wanna test. Not sure from my side, only time my speedo stopped working on an old cluster of mine was when I messed around with it and pulled the spring loose to paint needles. You didn't do this I know, I am sure the fix is simple Smiley

I wonder if there are connection differences between 130's 160's and the 2.0's. Although wasn't yours a 2.0 anyway?
