I'm so happy, today at 2 45PM Karel Stolz at Rotrix made my RX7(Mechanical Angel) take a breath of life once more. He's replaced all of my water seals and every seal and cleaned up the internals etc. He also fitted the Spitronics management like I stated in another thread of mine and slightly raised my ride height on my HKS shocks because she was catching on every speed bump in the whole entire world. Had my reflectors removed and blanked out by the painter and she's been totally resprayed black again but slightly darker and less shiny deliberately. She still needs a few finishing touches but should be back in my hands very very very soon.... I just wanna hug her and kiss her and squeeze her and hold her.... I miss her so so so so so so so so much. Woo hooo her heart is beating again with much stronger seals yay me Tongue

Congrats. Didn't even realize the car was in? Share some pics and vids when you get her back.

okay well let me fill you in, i had to get the Spitronics management upgrade to cope with the few what i can perhaps call stage 1 mods he he he. My ideal rx7 setup is far from what any guy in south africa thinks, i love the twin turbo because you have grunt at any stage of the throttle when you put foot, so i kept the standard turbos and had them reconditioned to be stronger and got the second turbos turbine placed in the first turbo and a slightly larger one fitted in the second turbo, as far as internals go i've done a small street port and had all the seals changed to 2mm seals to be more reliable and take more boost, i've had the exhaust system made free'er to breath better, i've added twin apexi cone filters at my intake, the management removes any limiters previously on and allows me to rev higher, had the apexi gauges refitted into my dash, she's going to run on a dyno for 4 or 5 hours to run her in properly at Rotrix and i'm hoping to up the turbo boost to 1 bar or more reliably each, also attempting to get a low boost high boost setup on the new management so i can save the petrol guzzling for track days and track events because my rx7 is my everyday driver. Previous mods i had on the car before this - carbon fibre rear wing, 17 inch AVS racing wheels from japan in white with kumho rubber on them, hks coilover suspension, Greddy dumpvalve, Trust intercooler, a few hks boost pipes, a hks dual airfilter which got a hole in it so it's gone now, 5Zigen rear exhaust box, mazdaspeed gearknob, momo steering wheel with mazdaspeed hooter cover sticker, had apexi gauges previously but somebody conveniently removed them from my dashboard for me lol. I also just resprayed the car black again, she was red in japan then they sprayed her black and now i've sprayed her a darker black and covered the reflecters to make the bumpers appear smoother. So any ideas as to what power i should be making now when standard is 195kws flywheel for my mechanical angel?

Personally I would have gone back to the original color - one of my favorites. Hope you don't have too much hassle if they ever check the chassis plate while out on the road (you said this is your daily too). With all the uninformed out there and road blocks frequent, they may just give you hassle if there is any indication that the vehicle should be red.

Good mod list and good ideas. In terms of power, I *think* the series 6 type R boosted .6bar stock, you're increasing that by .4 - I wouldn't be surprised - provided your injectors have the capacity that you'll hit 220kw+ (conservatively) at the wheels.

It's registered in South Africa as black though because when it left Japan it was last registered as black there too lol so no problems with the red question. I can apparently haul her up to 1.5 or 1.6 bar boost in her current state but I'm going to check on the dyno where her peak power is achieved and to see I'm not boosting the turbos past their prime point. I next want to get a larger radiator to help with cooling because I hear the standard radiator is inappropriate if I'm looking at making her warm he he, will use it a while more though like a year. I also want to upgrade my flywheel and clutch next to a lightened flywheel and a racing button clutch, the other RX7 owner I know with a big single turbo setup increased his hp reading by 40hp just by changing the flywheel, very curious but I want to do that too lol.

The painter will be by tomorrow to buff her paint job up again and fix anything that he didn't finish off properly and start fitting my bumper and bonnet etc etc again and clean my dirty car and exhaust, what you guys think of my car so far?

Possible, this came direct through Nam. Superrob! Looking good - just make sure the painter gets her nice and shiny again. Where were these pics taken? Rotrix?

nam? you mean namibia? Well I imported mine direct from Japan myself and landed her in Durban and went and fetched her myself etc etc etc. I used T.H.Auto Japan where I bought her from and used a Australian guy called Simon who works for them to speak to. Any other questions guys? Lol. She's been registered directly in South Africa due to her falling under the Collectors item category of car imports because they never produced series 6 RX7's here.

Why did I think this car was from Namibia?! Youre lucky to get away with the collectors license / papers on the vehicle. We struggled our asses off to get approval for our business.

well I've done all my research on a number of cars been imported into South Africa, it is a long mission importing a car by yourself for private use hence why the registration department took so long putting my papers through to make it difficult. But as a company with connections the cars can come through quicker and with no hassles. I have the number of a contact for RX7's at the moment if you're interested jdmmonkey? I like this forum more and more because the knowledge yourself and many of the other members possess is vast and I like that you're willing to listen to other views. Live for RX7's Cheesy

So when you buying 1 or 2 or 4 or more he he he. I need to find out prices on GTC Mazdaspeed series 8 rx7 bodykits or just the front bumper alone and the price for wheels for my rx7 and the price for other twin turbos and the price for larger radiators and the price lots of other stuff.... I'm so greedy for my rx7 he he he

Thanks for the offer Rob! What I was trying to say is we already do vehicle imports upon client request and that generally as a business or even private, the paper work to get things setup initially is both tricky and time consuming.

**WORD HAS IT THAT AFTER DISCUSSING THE ISSUE OF MY PAINTER NOT SHOWING UP AS OF YET TO FINISH MY CAR OF WITH ALL THE LAST BITS AND PIECES, I ASKED MY TUNER OKAY WHAT PARTS DID HE TAKE WITH HIM THE LAST TIME HE WAS THERE SO I KNOW WHAT TO BE WORRIED ABOUT, WELL THE PAINT NOT BEEN FINISHED WAS A WORRY BUT I'VE FOUND OUT HE'S TAKEN MY FRONT BUMPER, FRONT INDICATORS AND FOGS, MY LIGHT COVERS, RACING BONNET CLIPS, INSIDE COVER FOR DRIVERS SIDE MIRROR AND DOOR HANDLE, HE STRIPPED MY WHEEL NUTS SLIGHTLY..... THE WHEEL STUDS ARE BEEN CHECKED AND SORTED AS I TYPE. AND TO TOP ALL OF THIS OFF THE PAINTER HAS CLOSED UP SHOP WHERE HE WAS, HIS PHONE HAS BEEN OFF THE LAST TWO DAYS.**

Only things I might be able to look forward to are my car is almost run in properly on the dyno on low boost settings, so it's nearly time for them to start running her on her optimal boost power, also if the painter doesn't show my friend that also imports parts but only for RX7's is looking at loaning me a bodykit to use and lambo doors

Recent update ** I got hold of the painter with loads of persistence and managed to hassle him enough to get him to once again agree to continue working on my car or I threatened him with the law(Not that I like doing that). I will continue to call and keep on him this week to make sure that he finishes everything 100 percent.**

Another update is since my car cam back from the painters it seems they stripped a few of my wheel studs, so my great tuner from Rotrix has assured me that he is now fitting new wheel studs for my RX7 and organising special hopefully coloured wheel nuts from Japan which as I know are better then the rubbish you buy from wheel shops here. So all is still in motion.

Does anybody know a way to track a persons location from their cell phone number or their name and surname? Their bank account number etc? The painter has not kept to his word yet and he's not answering my calls or switching off his phone at certain stages when I try call. Want to have a nice chat to him.

Thanks for the offers of assistance wayne you're a good friend.

Latest update: Got hold of the painter somehow he eventually answered and came up with some story, he then verbally agreed to meet up with me next week Wednesday and Thursday for completion. I only agreed to that by saying that I'd allow him to do it those days with my car if I was overviewing his whole process, I have also said to him those are the last days that I am allowing him to finish in. If he doesn't meet up I'll be asking wayne for the assistance he offered and I'll be asking the police for assistance when I find out where he is but if he shows up, he'll tow my car to a destination to be sprayed and he'll be working on it infront of me and I'll be posting pics for you guys

Okay so what happened so far latest update * The painter screwed me over once more, he then put the phone down and didn't want to chat to me because he kept making up new stories about car problems etc etc, but to cut the story short I got a family member that knows some people to give him a call and he agreed to give me back all of my parts etc that he still had. So last week on Thursday morning if I remember right I collected all my parts from him and he was very friendly with me face to face strangely.
* Next up my tuner was sick during last week so a few things that still needed doing on my rocket he is busy completing this week. He fitted all my parts back unfortunately the painter made my front bumper look like a matt black base coat and the mess ups on my car are still there thanks to him now been far away from my precious car, I'm considering finishing her off myself or getting her vinyled like I thought in the first place.
* What's in store for her tomorrow at my tuner should be her new racing brake pads, the wheel studs will be checked to make sure they're tight tight, the wiring is getting a final look at because the last time the painter came to work on her he somehow made my rear lights stop working and my temp light and oil light flash eventhough everything is fine so my tuner is sorting that all out and then slapping her back onto the dyno hopefully tomorrow woo hoo.
Hold thumbs for me guys or get some four leaf clovers

Things the painter never finished properly on the car or never polished, for you all to see. Yes it's a crying shame Cry and I'll show you pics of the bumper that's not finished soon and I'll strip my front splitter myself again too because he sprayed it a white base coat but it's a flexi plastic splitter so most times paint will always crack so I'm stripping it back down to black plastic look.
