And drivetrain? How will evo x be slower when you're still in 2wd configuration. If you are however swapping out the components, you've got a crap load of work to do - and fabrication :-)

Fabrication? Not one bit Wink everything is a direct swap. As for drivetrain, it will handle it especially with a 1.5 way LSD.

Are you sure :-) I am thinking you may have space issues with the propshaft. Exhaust tunnel differences?

Also using the S-AWC components without the controller for it? And even if you had it, you'd have to have the evo x ecu to interface with it. You can't really use that (because your mods greatly exceed the stock calibration) unless you're planning on tuning it on the oem system, rom etc.

Just a side note, I found it a bit funny, they (Mitsubishi) started with these active braking and s-awc systems rather late. Old Type SH and S Honda preludes already had both these systems in 1997.

Anyway - good luck with the setup!

Nah im not putting in the AWD. But for interest sake, it can be done and the lancer ECU will handle it as it is powerful enough. All u need is ecuflash and definition files which I have already.

The AWD is expensive, but if I find a wrecked outlander, why not? Uses the same drivetrain from the evo 9 and that is a direct fit to the lancer as it is used on the lancer ralliart and AWD lancer NA available in japan.

Stock non EVO ECU won't control the S-AWC module. You'd need the EVO x ECU and harness. Not talking tuning here. Talking control of auxiliary systems.

Doesn't matter now though because you're not swapping out the entire drivetrain anyway Smiley

Not necessarily required that he raised it Superrob, all depends on spring rate and other factors like corner weighting which need be carried out. I too want to know the update on this project though.
