Alright as some of you may have read,I have entered into the rare prelude club, and have gotten the head turning, and wow is that a honda or what model is this a 2007? bunch of people already lol,i do enjoy it though.

Its definitely different from my civic a much more relaxed car, however it cant beat driving a left hand drive.
Anyway my box sadly should only be here on monday so we may only start with the conversion next week.

Im not a mechanic in any sense of the word, however does anyone have a helms manual for me?
the swop will be done by Anthony-H,now I stay about 80km away from him so I cant just go and pop in on him,so mind the lack of pictures and info I might add to this thread but all the details I get I will definitely pass on to this topic.

I got pictures of my box today:

the clutch looks worn, not sure how bad as the pics dont do much justice, however I asked the supplier he reckon its worn but useable. So will see once it arrives.

For the benefit of other luders as well I will include the prices I have payed for the items,

Gearbox including:
*vss
*slave clutch cylinder
*rev switch
*flywheel+bolts
*clutch kit
*5spd starter
*intermediate shaft
*jdmmonkey if you can help me here,on the 5th pic which has something in the middle with a yellow mark is that the clutch dampener?
*shift cables and clips to hold it all(linkages are cut,so they useless.
Price I payed: R7000 railage im looking around R400-R500

Clutch master cylinder: R400

These are the resources I am using for the swop:

I will update as I go along.

That's a clutch hose joint.

For your other question about piston length for clutch master, make sure travel from lowest point of rest to the top is 189mm taken from the floor without carpet.

A simple illustration of the angle I'm talking about (below)

No, you need a new pedal assembly complete. Look at my thread for examples.

You mean gearbox mounting?

Transmission bracket 50825-S30-000
Transmission mount 50805-S30-000

* Just a side note, if you HAVE to buy these from Honda SA, check with me first - Usually get parts from Japan a lot cheaper.

So you have the gearshift assembly/shift cables/clutch pedal already?

There's still a long road ahead. With marriage up ahead (congrats btw  Wink) I dont see this happening overnight(24 days). You also don't want to get stuck next to the road when you on honeymoon. jdmmonkey battled for a while before his snags was sorted. Trust me, don't put too much faith on second hand parts, doing the swap is one thing, what goes on inside that gearbox is another, you don't know what might have crawled in there while it was standing + that pressure plate doesn't look too good either. Rather get the flywheel skimmed and fit a new clutch, it will just set your mind at ease. Then there's also your ECU to be modded, I can go on and on and you probably hate me for this, but take up that Jazz offer  Cheesy

Hahaha It's just stuff I've seen happen over and over + a preludes are like a lady, you dont rush a lady into anything, it will just bite you in the ass later on.

Oh and tell Anthony-H- to take care of your motor mounts, especially the LH side mount. It is too expensive to replace over something stupid like jacking up the motor too high or letting it hang on its own mercy. The front mount is also fragile.

@jdm I will give you a call in the morning concering the mounting,if honda doesn't have stock(due to urgency I will have to pay the premium)I will get it from them.

Of not then we I will come through and see you tomorrow regarding getting
all I need from japan and have you bring in the mounting for me.

@scholdte- my plan was to have the prject started by next week friday as in gearbox in,
mounted etc and have the project completed one week from then, which would give me
two weeks of testing(one by anthony and one week by me) before actually hitting the long road.
Thanks for the comment on the flywheel and clutch, once I have it infront of me I will
repost some pics so it can be seen clearly.ofcourse I agree it is a lenghty process
I think I'm rushing things which I shouldn't be,but its the srain of being without
the car which I guess is urging me to complete, however it needs to be done
right first time,so I guess I'm going with the jazz to wild coast
(oh well it will give me good mileage)

I can't wait to get things sorted out for the lude,I miss it soo much, drove from wild coast to durban to go to ushaka today +-160km,the 1.4 jazz handled it fine but damn to have had my lude here would have been perfect:( however I can't wait to get the lude done!!!its going to be crazy once me,jdm and anthony complete it.

Will update this post soon guys, once I'm in the swing of things!!!

Hope to meet everyone in the next meet, now ill have someone to bring with lol, shot for the wishes guys,I been waiting sometime to tie the knot,I think the main reason was because we lived apart for three years and within that three years I spent time with her +- 3 weeks in total so we made it work lol, anyway shot guys keep well will speak soon,

Quick update:
Car refused to start,I think its an immobiliser issue, lights everything go on however once the key is turned, the starter clicks once then nothing happens.

Well during that time, the car got collected last night by anthony, what a b#*$h to push up the car trailer god damn!!

None the less the car has left my premises, will be seeing anthony this weekend to collect ECU provide it to jdmmonkey @ Toyama Racing Spirit to work it,and will keep updating as I go.
